Franken Fran Manga (フランケン・ふらん; 疯狂怪医芙兰; 科学怪人少女) by Kigitsu Katsuhisa
Franken Fran is one of my favourite manga. This manga is under the categories of horror, psychological, science-fiction, supernatural, medical and mature. It’s been updated irregularly. Madaraki Fran is a girl created by Dr. Madaraki Naomitsu, a mad scientist. Dr Madaraki rose to be recognized as the world’s foremost biochemist during the First World War. He is currently travelled around the world for his research and leaves his mansion under Fran’s care. Fran took some medical jobs during the Dr’s absent. But I have to warn you first because this manga many extreme gore scenes which will make some of you feel uncomfortable. Fran’s surgical procedures are so bizarre and not like anything you see in natural life. When I read this manga for the first time, I was like “O.o” about the way Fran performs various unimaginable surgeries which is impossible in today’s medical technologies. *Well, not yet anyway.* She is the mad scientist herself. Fran can raise the dead. The plot of the manga is separated into different stories and each story ends up with Fran fulfils her patients’ request by creating some sort of gruesome monstrosity.
Fran connected a son’s brain with his father. It means one body with two brains. The son is being murdered by the father. The father actually just wants a live puppet serve as his son. As a result, the son who is alive now knows that his father killed him. You can imagine how horrified the father is because this is not what he asks for.
Haruhime: I really don’t like the idea of there’s a face behind you head. This scene reminds me of Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone.
Beelzebub Manga (恶魔奶爸, べるぜバブ) By Tamura Ryuhei
This is the manga I am following right now. Genre of this manga is action, comedy, martial art, school life and supernatural. By the way, this manga is not about ordinary school life. It’s about a strong, ruthless delinquent’s school life. But I don’t think they have much teaching in Ishiyama. All of them are delinquents who fight all day. I haven’t seen any teachers teach in that school except a head master who is mistaken for school garden caretaker. And here is our main character, a delinquent called Oga Tatsumi. Other delinquents nicknamed him “Ogre”, “Demon” or whatsoever. This is because he is really strong. He beats every other delinquent up easily and mercilessly.
Unfortunately for Oga, he picked up a son of the Great Demon King. The baby chooses him as his father in the human world. Oga needs to raise the baby until he is in age to destroy mankind. Therefore, Oga need to find someone who is stronger and evil than him to get rid of the baby. The baby is not like any ordinary baby. Baby Beel (the Great Demon King’s son), likes extraordinary things. For example, the more evil you are, the more Baby Beel likes you. No wonder Baby Beel attached to Oga like Kola Bear. Just get use to Baby Beel who doesn’t wear any clothes. Baby Beel is just like Pikachu who electrify Oga every time he is upset or Oga is more than 15m away from him. That must be hurt. It’s funny at the same time too.
Mirai Nikki (未来日記, Future Diary) by Esuno Sakae
Phew, I finally finished this manga. I recommended this manga for those who like to read scary, horror, psychological and action manga. Mirai Nikki is about 2nd year middle school student, Amano Yukiteru who keeps a diary in his cell phone. He recorded everything he witnessed and has an imaginary friend, Deus Ex Machina, the Lord of Time and Space.
Then, Deus Ex Machina started a game of horror. Amano Yukiteru’s diary started to show the events happen in the future. Yukiteru thinks it is fun and he is quick to abuse the new function of his cell phone, like avoid the misfortune. Then, Yukiteru discovered that there are other 11 dairy holders. Each of them has a diary with different functions. The Lord of Time and Space told them they need to kill other diary holders to become ‘God’. It means replace Him as the Lord because His time is running out.
